Our History
Baildon Village Preschool has been providing high-quality and affordable childcare for all children aged two to four for over 40 years. Based in the cosy surroundings of The Lower Fold next to Baildon Methodist Church, we are open for morning and afternoon sessions, also full days in term time. We work with the Bradford Early Years team to ensure that children receive the best possible standard of care and education. Baildon Village Preschool is OFSTED registered and is waiting for a new inspection due to the new build. Our last inspection was rated GOOD in July 2022.
Our Philosophy
Our friendly and dedicated team look forward to getting to know your child and seeing them learn and grow whilst they are with us. We want your child to enjoy their time at preschool so we encourage you to share any worries or concerns with us.
Observing things, watching faces, responding to voices, listening making sounds and singing.
We provide lots of resources both indoor and outdoor for children to explore, either child-led or adult-led.
Encouragement and praise are used all the time to help children value themselves and help establish a solid foundation for later learning.
Our Staff
All staff are friendly and committed to their roles and will always go above and beyond to provide your child with a safe, fun and stimulating environment.
Our Facilities
The preschool is set in one big room which is divided into two areas one area is for messy play where children can choose between playdough, glue, water, sand, painting, cornflour and flour. The other area is carpeted with areas for construction, small world, music, home corner, story corner, role play/dressing up, computer, and mark making. We have a toilet area for the children with 3 toilets and 3 sinks potties are available to help with potty training. We also have a nappy changing area. Staff have a separate toilet and sink. We have a kitchen area where we prepare snacks. Snack time is a good way to introduce new flavours and build on self-care skills. Whilst building up social interaction.
We have a large outdoor area that allows the children to explore and take risks and develop large gross motor skills whilst enjoying the fresh air. We also adventure into our local community exploring buildings, road safety, community gardens, the local library and other business. We can look for creepy crawlies in our bug house, ride pedal, and balance bikes, buggies and scooters. Play football, make a cake in our mud kitchen, mark making in a variety of ways chalk, paint, water. Constructed with large bricks, we enjoy making snowmen, looking for conkers, and growing flowers.
